Afghanistan Before the Wars

YAAP member Mark Svendsen has a new show in the Olive Street Gallery at the Newport Performing Arts Center, opening on 3 April and running through May 19^th. The show features re-edited photos originally taken as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Afghanistan in the late 1960s and early 70s before the recent turmoil in that beleaguered country. The Olive Street Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 5, and weekends and evenings during performances at the PAC.
