It is time for another 4C’s Quarterly Electronic Image Division (QEID) Competition and the deadline is April 30, 2018.
Because of the large number of entries in the past and the burden that creates for the judging clubs, the 4C’s Board of Directors changed the number of entries from 4 entries to 3 entries. The Creative Category (C) name was also changed to Altered Reality (A). As usual, the entries can be in any of combination of the Traditional, Altered Reality and/or Monochrome Categories. Please remember to enter no more than 3 QEID entries and the Creative Category has been changed to the Altered Reality Category.
The 4C’s Board made some changes regarding file sizes last summer. The maximum files size allowed is now 1 megabyte and the maximum allowed pixel dimensions are now 1024 pixels on BOTH the vertical and horizontal measurement. Smaller measurements are fine but image files that exceed the maximums will be disqualified.
Here is the new 4C’s QEID Checklist: QEID_Entry_Check_List._-_revised_Jan_2018. Please print a copy discard the old one. As before, images are entered in the QEID as email attachments. SPRING QEID Entry should be in the Subject Line of the email message because email filters are used to identify the entries.
There is no charge to enter the 4C’s QEID Competitions and they are open to all members of 4C’s camera clubs. Consider entering your digital photos in the Winter QEID and send up to 3 entries as email attachments to eidquarterly@columbiacameraclubs.org before the March 31st deadline.
If you are using a Mac computer please zip your entries in one zip file and attached the zip file to your email message.
