“You’ll never get bored when you try something new. There’s no limit to what you can do.” – Dr. Seuss
For the next meeting on August 2 – take three pictures in a genre (or several genres) that’s new to you. That could be a portrait, if you haven’t done that before, a street scene, or a macro. What we shouldn’t see next time are landscapes – we’ve all already been there. Listed below are some possible categories of new-to-you work.
- Portraits
- Terrestrial wildlife
- Birds
- Gardens/backyards
- Sports
- Marketplaces
- Street scenes
- Night scenes/light painting
- Aerials
- Architecture
- Macros
- Abstracts
You could also try a technique that is new to you – focus-stacking, HDR, or long time-exposures, for example. Have fun!
