Water Droplet Magic presentation
Finding information about how to photograph objects refracted through water droplets is easy and using a few basic household items, you can get an idea of what is possible. But what if you want to refine and improve on those basic images? Last year, I spent several months shooting objects refracted through water drops on a glass plate. I built an inexpensive shooting platform that provided the flexibility and stability to produce interesting and sometimes complex images. I created over 100 images, some of which can be viewed on my website at www.bobhillsphoto.com/water-droplet-magic. Among other things, these creations require knowledge of macrophotography and lighting. This presentation will display many of my images and explain how they are made.
About Bob
I describe myself as a recovering high-tech executive with a passion for photography. I have a technical education and been employed by Kodak, HP and Intel. My photographic roots were in nature photography, but my interests and work are now quite diverse. While I’m pretty good at wielding a camera, my favorite projects can be categorized as ‘photoshopography’ – digital art originating from a photographic image.
